She was born in Moscow on March 1, 1980 to a Russian economics professor Tatyana Dimitrievna as well as the family of Gregory T., the director of a fur business. When she was a young girl she spent 6 months and diagnosed with arthritis rheumatoid. His skating experience along with Denis Samokhin was what made the legend. Both pairs competed in the Junior World Championships, where they were placed eighth and seventh respectively in 1993. After a brief collaboration with Maxim Kachanov, they placed fifth at the Goodwill Games of 1994. Later in 1995, she team with Vladimir Fedorov. They were equally successful as a team, winning the Finlandia Trophy two times and participating in the Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Together, they accomplished more however the highlight of their collaboration was when they were ranked 15th in the 1998 World Championships.
